From vibrant Agadir, famous for its sunny beaches and laid-back vibe, stretches a coastline punctuated with hidden treasures and natural wonders waiting to be explored.
Towards the north, legendary beaches are available to surfers in search of perfect waves and breathtaking panoramas!
North for surfers
- Anza Beach, about 8 km away, and its mysterious footprints embedded in the rock;
- Imourane Beach, 15 km away, just past Aourir (the “banana village”), stretches on either side of the famous “Devil’s Rock”! At Brahim’s, you can enjoy grilled lobsters, caught that very morning. You can also admire the remains of an old Portuguese fort built on a small peninsula.
- Taghazout, a fishing village 30 minutes from Agadir, is also a very popular surfing spot! You can also fish or go diving there. Overlooking the beach, discover its superb golf course nestled among argan trees, between the sea and the mountains!
- Aghroud beach, 35 km away, with its small, brightly colored houses, is perfect for swimming and taking a walk, a camel ride, or a horseback ride.
- The Cap Ghir lighthouse, 40 km north of the port of Agadir.
- Sandboarding in the Timlaline desert, 60 km north of Agadir (in the Tamri region). The ecological sites there are unique, with diverse flora and fauna such as the bald ibis, a treasure of Souss-Massa. They offer a glimpse of the fragile beauty of the desert.
South, the charm of wild beaches
While in the South, the raw charm of wild beaches invites you to escape and adventure!
- The beach of Sidi Toual, about 20 km away: it is an authentic and exotic beach, bordered by cliffs. Access by car is quite difficult and is via secondary roads.
- Tifnit beach, 50 km away, and its small caves facing the ocean as well as the blue fishermen’s boats.
- The cornice of Aglou, 96km away, in the province of Tiznit, with troglodyte dwellings and, not to be missed, the amusing donkey and camel souk on tuesdays…
- The red beach” of Lagzira, in Mirleft, about 130 km away: fishing, surfing, diving, walks… The village of Mirleft has become a small picturesque “seaside town”. The arcades of its main street house grocery stores and other small businesses…
